Troop 3
San Francisco

                 Welcome to Troop 3

Thank you for taking time to visit our web site.  Here you can find information on our troop and the activities that we participate in.

Troop 3 is a Boy Scout troop run by the scouts. The participants plan a yearly program and decide where they want to go on the monthly outings.  The troop also has monthly PLC meetings where the leaders plan the troop meetings for the following month.  The Scoutmaster along with the assistant Scoutmasters guide the boys in their planning decisions and provide the boys with the needed skills and resources to succeed.

The troop usually has a monthly outing planned which could consist of a camping trip, day hike, or a District or Council event.  In the past, we have taken trips to Camp Tamarancho, 49ers Book Collection & 49ers Game, Flag Planting, Scouting for Food, and the 100th Anniversary of Scouting Jamboree.  Troop 3 also annually attends Camp Wente or Camp Royaneh for summer camp where the boys will have a chance to earn merit badges and exercise their knowledge of scouting skills.

Boy Scouts is for anyone in the 5th grade through 18 year olds. Scouts are active in a huge amount of activities including camping, swimming, cooking, archery, and many more!  Being a Boy Scout is a great opportunity for you or your son.  We encourage Webelos and anyone interested to come and visit us.

Troop 3 meets Thursday nights 7:00 P.M. at Cathy Post American Legion in Chinatown, San Francisco located on 1524 Powell Street (between Green and Vallejo Street).  Feel free to come and attend our weekly meetings.

The goal of the Troop 3 Website is to provide a central location for information relating to the troop.  All event listings and dates, trip info, guidelines, photos and contact information will be posted here and updated as regularly as possible. We ask that you please bookmark this main page and check back often. Updates & notices will be posted here as soon as we get them.
